About us
At Hornsby North Community Care Association Inc. (HNCCA), we are dedicated to providing a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment where children, families, and educators can grow and thrive together. Our Before and After School Care programs prioritize safety, with a staff-to-child ratio of 1:15 and 1:8 during excursions. At all times, at least one staff member holds a current Senior First Aid Certificate, and a designated First Aid Officer oversees serious injury management and First Aid supplies.
All HNCCA educators undergo Working with Children Checks and regular Child Protection training, ensuring the highest standards of child safety. Our Permanent Educators receive additional training beyond mandatory requirements, including administration, staff management, educational programming, and sustainability practices. We also encourage educators seeking professional growth to pursue a Certificate IV in School-Aged Education and Care.
We recognize the importance of strong community connections and open communication, fostering an environment where every family feels a sense of belonging. As part of our commitment to respect and inclusion, we acknowledge the Darug people as the traditional custodians of the land on which our centre operates. We pay our respects to their elders—past, present, and emerging—and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our community.

Our Director
Hello, I am Kaila the Centre Director and I extend a warm welcome to you and your family to HNCCA, our service that provides Centre Based care for children 4-12 years for Before School (BSC) and After School (ASC) during term time. We also provide care during school holiday periods (VAC) and Pupil Free Days (PFD).
A little about myself, I have been an Educator at the Centre since 2013. Continuing my child care career for almost 2 decades. I have completed tertiary qualifications in School-Aged Education and Care and maintain the professional qualifications required to support the highest industry standard.
In my spare time, I love spending time at the beach or around the pool with my family, capturing photos of my daughter and sunrise/sunset photos.
I foster teamwork and expanded education for Educators, and encourage the engagement of families to ensure the best support for children in our care. As a parent myself, I pride myself on putting the children first, and ensuring their happiness and safety. Feel free to contact me at Director@hncca.com.au
